Short answer: Claude does not take crypto directly, so the way to pay a Claude subscription with crypto is a prepaid virtual card bought with USDT or USDC. If you already have a card and Claude declines it: Claude.ai most often declines a card because the balance does not cover the plan price plus sales tax, so load about 20–30% more than the plan (for Claude Pro at $20/month that means $24–26 of headroom per month), keep one consistent billing address, and stop retrying after two declines. One more cause catches almost everyone on a prepaid card: if you just topped up, wait for the "top-up received" email before paying, because a reload only credits to the card at the next :01 or :31 — generally within 30 minutes — and a charge made in that gap is declined even though you added money.

Claude plans and what is really charged
- Claude Pro: $20 per month (or $17/month billed yearly) before tax. Claude Code is included.
- Claude Max: $100 or $200 per month before tax, for heavier Claude Code and chat use.
- Anthropic adds VAT or sales tax for your billing region, so the real charge is usually 5–25% higher — a $20 plan is often billed around $24.

The 7 most common reasons Claude declines a card
- You just topped up and paid straight away. A reload posts to the card only at the next :01 or :31 (generally within 30 minutes), so a charge made in that gap is declined even though the money left your wallet. Fix: wait for the "top-up received" email, then retry the payment — or top up a day before renewal.
- Insufficient balance after tax and the pre-authorization hold. Fix: load 20–30% above the plan price.
- Billing address incomplete or different from the rest of the account. Fix: enter one full, consistent address and keep it.
- Too many retries in a short time. Fix: stop after two declines and wait several hours; repeated declines look like card testing to the risk engine.
- Earlier failed charges or a chargeback on the same account. Fix: settle the open invoice first; avoid disputing charges you can resolve with support.
- Your bank blocks foreign or online merchants. Fix: ask the bank, or use a card made for overseas online payments.
- Paying outside the official site or app. Fix: subscribe only on claude.ai (Settings → Billing) or the official mobile app.
Pay Claude Pro or Max with a prepaid virtual card
- Go to pinkcard.cc/en and choose an amount: presets $110, $220, $500, $1000, or a custom amount from $100.
- Pay with USDT (BEP-20 or ERC-20) or USDC (ERC-20). BEP-20 — shown as BSC or BNB Smart Chain on most exchanges — usually costs under $1 in network fees.
- Enter your email twice. No account and no sign-up are needed.
- The card number, expiry and CVV arrive by email about 1–2 minutes after the transaction confirms (check spam).
- In claude.ai → Settings → Billing, add the card, enter your billing address once, and choose Pro or Max.
- When the balance runs low, top up the same card from the card lookup page — the number does not change, so the subscription keeps renewing.
How much to load (worked example)
For 4 months of Claude Pro: 4 × $24 (plan with typical tax) + 4 × $1 (transaction fee) + 4 × $2.50 (monthly card fee) = $110 — exactly the smallest preset. For one month of Claude Max at $200, plan around $240 + $1 + $2.50, so the $500 preset covers two months with headroom.
